Sponsor income has just been increased at all levels to better cover costs. All existing contracts have also been updated to match the new income levels.

UPDATE [18:56 GMT]: The "buy now" option on auctions now also costs much less cash than buying through bids on an auction, enabling a cheaper way to get new drivers and staff. This is balanced by the fact that it costs more Tokens, offering the opportunity to buy by spending more Tokens or Cash depending on what you have available.

Please post your feedback here on how you are finding managing finances in the new iGP in this thread, in a constructive manner, and I'll do my best to respond in a constructive manner and see what we can do to help. :)

I have two ideas which may be implemented in the next week or so. One is to decrease the cost of lower level facilities and the other is to make "buy now" option on auctions cost much less cash than the "bid" option [UPDATE: now implemented].

Hi, Just joined, so all this is completely new to me, I mean I have not as yet even found " facilities" or "auctions" But still plenty of time to find my way around.

There's currently no bonus payout for winning Aaron, only meeting the sponsor objectives.

I think this will be great I did notice that with the top ones as long as I get my objectives I should be right around breaking even but the only problem with that is then if I upgrade the facilities at all I will probably be at a minus for the race (WTF1 as money sponsor and iRacing.com as token sponsor)

Using the free tokens from the sponsor, you can get investments that more than cover the cost of building facilities. At least, at level 12 (my level) that would be the case, and I would still have Tokens to spare.

picked up an extra 400k in sponsorship per race, that will help cover the costs even if it's only part way, i won't spend tokens on money because i wish to spend them on other stuff, you only get a limited number of tokens a race so you got to be careful with what you got.

It looks good. We will know for sure once we've adjusted our sponsors and played through a season, but it feels like big progress.

I think it's a bit unfair to be honest. Compared to last season my Sonsorship is down as had 4 x 1.5 million =£6m regardles of finishing position and my suppliers costs were low has i had kept my suppliers long term for eg Merc engines last season £175,000 to £500,000 this year. Driver costs seemed to have jumped up and there is no chance of getting a driver cheaper now i.e no media comments to increase morale. Seems there are a few bugs still to be fixed.

All seems fair enough. choosing sponsers carefully can give you best part of £6mill per race , Almost same as before. Still need to manage drivers and staff wages to make a profit but its not rocket science. It all part and parcel of management.

Allan I know how to manage finances, but racing in a tough league youre not going to reach your objective every race so whats the answer? hire cheaper but slower drivers?
