Could something like this be added since offline teams never pit for full wets when they are needed and if it's drying up they always change to dry tyres way too soon.

Honestly, that would remove all the interest out of weather, everyone would do the same thing every time. I don't imagine that would be lots of fun.

Partially agree with Matt but I think the old option "pit after x laps" would be nice.

I see what your hitting at, but a game where you have to optimize tyre usage with fuel amount, you haven't noticed everyone is already doing the same thing every time

We discussed something similar in another thread about split strategies and being able to set up each stint individually. It was agreed that if you went down that route there was no benefit on attending the races, and that was what made this game good.

So i am with Matt - it would take something away from the game.

Yes you can win races and compete by not attending, but the edge you get from attending probably needs to stay - that includes the weather variability.

So now its there to set the no. of laps to pit after rain stops and mm to shift the strategy
but provided 1 level of wet tyres either inters or full wet and provided the mm for change, dun we need to give one more level
that is if the water level rise beyond 3.5 then go for W
or might be m confused

What's the fun in that when you will only use exactly the same setting in every single race? That is a chore, not a game. The option needs to be one where you need to think about what you want to do, or there is no opportunity for anybody to create a unique or winning strategy over a losing one.

This is also why we don't have KERS which recharges every lap, because the only thing that will happen when you do that is everyone will use it in exactly the same place every single lap. Things which have no alternatives and only one correct answer are not fun.

I'm sure with more options managers could make everything "optimal" but this is exactly when real racing gets boring too, when there is only one correct answer and everybody knows what it is. When all the cars follow each other in to the pits and back out again on exactly the same lap doing the same thing, using the same tyres and using KERS out of the same turns, and making the same strategy calls. This is a game first and foremost, and the live races are what it is all about. We want to keep those interesting and fun to attend.

At the same time, we've addressed the concerns some people had that they couldn't specify when to pit for wet tyres or when to take them off. Now it's up to the managers to make the right calls. :)

EDIT: By the way, you don't have the latest CSS in the screenshot, please refresh and you'll see the options styled properly. :D

Ahh very nice can still work it the same as before if rain stops pit for inters only this time after one lap and not instant

So what are you saying Jack the AI is getting a revamp after the app is out?
Offline teams are doing what you just said, using boost on same the lap at the same time. It's not really a bad thing, it keeps them evenly spaced. It's just not so hot when the car enters the pits and boost lights up and it's doing nothing for them.

@Sandeep : CSS means "style", it is used to give forms and colors to html.

Is there an option to turn it off if attending the race? or will leaving it at 0/0 disable it.

I don't want to have to fight the AI over whether to pit or not if attending

There was an option to do it in the old igp version, don't know if the option is back with that new feature.

We could make it so when you open the viewer you are in control instead of the automatic settings. This is what happens with boost/KERS as well.
