On the menu you can now access the full documentation of the Rules & Regulations of iGP Manager by clicking the 'Help' button, next to the logout button at the bottom of the menu. Or, click here to view the help documentation now.

Because these have just been written by me, on quite short notice without much preparation, and I'm actually quite rusty, I'd welcome any constructive feedback and suggestions for how they can be improved.

Note: They aren't intended to be a game guide, or a "how to play" or anything along those lines. Rather they are there to outline the core rules and regulations and aspects of gameplay someone might want to get a deeper understanding of. Such as: how ballast is calculated, how points are scored, how promotion works etc.

Edit: I almost forgot to mention that you can also re-enable tutorials if you want to see them again from the help tab.

1.5 Qualifying: It could be mentioned if Push level plays a role. Since I think it doesn't it's not that important, though, but might rest any doubts at rest.

2.1 Car Design:
Rules
Can reflect a mix of contributions from multiple Chief Designer's (all those hired across a season)
Last time I tried this quite some time ago only active CDs contributed, just hiring a second didn't work. Or was this changed? Would make sense that a second/reserve CD at least contributes to the development although not that usefull since weakness/strength isn't such an min/max affair anymore.

At least until last season the car design cap was at 80 for Pro and not 60, error or change? As a side note, 100 for Elite seems to be awfully low. I hit the cap of 80 points in Pro on most stats with at level 10/11 design (and quite some help from research). With 100 it looks like most cars are identical in the second half of the season on the stats genereally considered 'important'.

3.4 Transfers and Auctions: Small haste typo
Rules
If multiple bidders are present then the auciton will proceed to the knockout rounds.

2.4 Tyres

Seems strange to me, the cooler it is, the harder you push so why are SS better, the warmer it is, the less you push why is H better?

Logical Racing
Cool temps you have to push the tyre to maintain heat, the harder you push the higher the wear.
High temps increase the working distance of softer compound you don't have to push to keep heat in the tyres, reducing the tyres wear and making the tyre preform better for longer as they stay warm for longer the drop off is minimised.

Softer is better the colder the conditions because they don't need as much push as hard tyres to make them work and generally provide more grip. Plus you have more reserves to push if necessary.

Harder is better the hotter it is because they don't tend to overheat as softer tyres do and you don't have to nurse them around the track, which often enough is still cooking the soft tyres, and thus hard compounds start to provide comparable or even more grip at those conditions. Plus they are longer lasting and give you more freedom to plan your stint lengths and again the harder tryres leave you with options to lower push if necessary.

It only refers to the "active" CD, the reserves are not included. I will see if I can improve the wording of this section.

Thanks for the other highlights also.

That was why i suggested in the past that all tyres work in the middle push level then you have 2 lower push setting and 2 higher push settings for each tyre to play around with but nobody liked the idea, as it would mean you could force SS to last 21-22 laps in abu dhabi at 37 degrees lol

I'd definitely like to be able to cool tyres on lower push, I'm so board of having to sit on level 1/5 push the whole race = ZERO Skill in tyre temp management.

Monaco is the only race you can use some skill as it's 3/5 hold temp on super soft round there...

It would promote less stops if we could manage tyre temps more.
If added in pit-lane speed limits roughly 22 seconds a stop. 6 & 7 stops would start falling away as we are losing too much time in the pits.
Then 1 second slower tyres wouldn't look so bad after all.

Going totally off-topic, guys. But FWIW, we're trying to make the tyres behave exactly as you describe for the mobile launch. That was on our agenda.

@Gary : I think the real problem is that track temperature is not important enough for tyre performance.

2.5. Fuel
Needs more detailing, some recent change should be mentioned, that is Practice will show the fuel consumption as per Neutral push level (irrespective of whatever push level u set during practice) and it will vary in race as per the push level during race.

Also if possible let us know what is the difference in fuel consumption between the push level eg:
if practice shows 2.47 fuel consumption in practice with right setup then, (i understand it may vary track to track)
if push level is 2 then it will consume 1.1% lesser fuel i.e.(2.47- 0.02717=roundup(2.44283),2) = 2.44/ lap
if push level is 1 then it will consume 2.4% lesser fuel i.e.(2.47- 0.05928=rounddown(2.41072),2) = 2.41/ lap

Could a button be added to click that you have read the rules so that this unlocks

Thanks for (A) the reminder I didn't add the achievement there and (B) the idea!

I've added a button somewhere, you'll have to find it to earn the achievement. :)

@Jack, re achievements.

It tells me I havent completed in a full capacity league race yet, but the BRL has had 16 teams in Elite for most of this season?

Yeah when you have billion dollar in your team currency you lost like 1 year of your life trying to get that much cash $$$.But win a race with the not best car on the grid is fairly easy because when the race is wet and you had a great strategy call then you will win the race.
