HI, Why doesn't qualifying take into account your first stint fuel load? My drivers equally balanced but if i start one on a 3 stopper and one on a two stopper, ie one has about 4 laps more fuel. The qualifying times are equal, or the heavier fuel load is faster.! It doesn't make sense.

Like in real F1 you dont do your qualification with your first stint fuel.

As far as I know its meant to be a level playing field.

So everyone does it with a new set of tyres, on an empty track and apparently with the same fuel load (just enough to do a qualication lap)

But they don't refuel in real F1 like this game so it's not comparable. The older F1 days when you had to refuel you'd have a fueling strategy as well as tyres, just like this game version. You had to qualify with your starting race fuel load, just like this game version should be. Otherwise there is no point in having different stint strategies. This way teams with less car evolution could actually achieve higher race finishes by adjusting their start position by having a lighter fuel load.

I would imagine, and its only a guess, it might also be a case of reducing the things they have to track.

They would then need to reference your fuel load, remove 3 laps (out, fast, in) of fuel and tyres, then carry that information into the simulator too.

I am not sure, just a guess.

Yep. you're right. It's just a bit annoying when you get bogged down in mid pack when you have a lighter starting fuel load, and should be quicker. Then some one qualified faster than you and they're on a one stopper who is on pole !! I really don't think it's too much of a problem to adjust the qualy pace with reference to your fuel load when it's already applied through the race!
