Open beta will start next week

In these exciting times we are pleased to announce that testing of the new iGP Manager will be opened to the public at some point next week. Keep your eyes on us for the announcement of exactly when it goes live!

After a successful closed beta test throughout February and March, we've spent the weeks in between moving the entire service (of the new iGP) to a new server infrastructure in preparation for open beta and the eventual live launch. The main purpose of the new server system is that it can scale quickly to meet demand, if it needs to. This could be especially important as we expect the community to grow a lot, and unpredictably, in the months ahead. The mobile app (coming later this year) will play a large part in that.

It’s not just iGP Manager that has been moving recently, either. As mentioned in my previous blog, my first child was born recently. Since that blog, we’ve also moved in to our new home. It has been a very hectic and busy time for me in particular, between having a child and move to take care of while at the same time launching the new iGP Manager platform and game.

It has been a long time coming, and I can appreciate that many of you are impatient to try the new iGP Manager. We can start counting the time in days now, not months or weeks any more. Everyone will soon have the chance to get familiar with the new game before the live site updates to it.
