iGP Manager 27: This November

iGP Manager 27 is coming this November.

iGP Manager 27 will be the biggest step forward iGP Manager has ever taken. Your team is getting a whole new identity, and the way you watch, manage and react to a race is changing in a big way.

A brand new race viewer

It has a completely new interface. Your drivers are front and centre, shown in their own race suits, so you can see at a glance who’s who and what they’re doing. Everything you need to run your race is laid out more clearly than ever. I'll be showing this off in the next blog very soon.

Pit crews

When you bring a driver in, you’ll see the crew carry out the entire pit stop real-time in the pit lane. You'll be able to see all the rival crews too, and everyone can fully customise their crew's overalls and helmets. More on that in the Team Editor below.

The graphics, completely overhauled

The graphics have had a complete overhaul and been brought right up to date. Real-time shadows. Big improvements to lighting. You can already see a glimpse of this in the shot above. The new rendering capabilities also opened up something we’ve wanted for a long time...

Day and night races. On every track.

You’ll be able to set the time of your races, on any track. A night race under the lights in Italy? A race that starts at dusk and finishes in the dark at Abu Dhabi? It’s your call. Every circuit now has its own day and night cycle, so the same track can look and feel completely different depending on when you race it. More on this in the next blog.

Dynamic weather

We will be moving away from relying on real weather stations in iGP Manager 27 toward a fully dynamic weather system. It builds, it moves, and it changes during the race, so you’ll want to keep an eye on it with the return of the weather station. This facility hasn't been in iGP Manager for many years, and will be making its return with a fully live weather radar so you can see what’s coming in before it arrives. Is that rain going to hit the circuit, or is it going to miss? Do you pit now, or wait one more lap?

A track that changes as you race

When the rain stops, the track doesn’t dry all at once. A drying line appears, and you’ll see it on the track as it forms. You’ll also see rubber building up on the racing line as the race goes on.

The Team Editor

For years now, you’ve designed your car in the livery editor. Everyone wanted us to add driver helmet editing, and we did. Then we kept going. In iGP Manager 27, the livery editor has become something much greater: the Team Editor.

Now you design the whole team:

Put it all together and the whole team matches, from the car on track to the crew in the pit lane.

And we’ve given it a new home. For the first time in years, we’re saying goodbye to the old brick walls of the livery editor. The Team Editor sits in a gorgeous new wind tunnel, all part of your new fully 3D HQ.

Safety cars, flags and team radio

As promised, the safety car and flags are back. And there’s something completely new: team radio. During the race, you’ll be in contact with your drivers over team radio.

Push, down to the percent

The five push levels you know are staying. If you like them the way they are, nothing changes for you. If you want more precision, we've got you covered. You can now set your push level in steps of 1%. That’s 100 different push levels!

There’s a lot more to do away from the races too. So, next blog, we’ll be stepping off the track... and on it?!

Coming to Steam and Epic Games

iGP Manager is coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store, and iGP Manager 27 launches on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS. We’ll also be back on Huawei AppGallery.
