Tonight the British Racing League resumes for season 25. Feel free to spectate the kickoff of the highest reputation league in iGP.
As a preview, here's an interview with the guy who won season 24, and will race with the #1 and #2 cars tonight; Adam Gosling, manager of That Slow Much Luck Team, ranked 2nd in the game.
Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am Adam, I am 21 years old, from the UK. I've been interested in F1-manager games for a long long time, but haven't found one with in game features like this one. I am also a big gamer, and currently spend most of my free time playing League of Legends.
Do you still remember your first iGP race? How did it go?
It was such a long time ago. I think I probably ran out of fuel, by running what the technical director tells you to run, heh.
What was your best iGP moment?
Best moment... probably getting my first win in Elite. This was way back in Season 14, at Spain (10th September 2012). I can remember somehow holding first, even though my car was much slower, for about five or more laps. That win was with the almighty Simon Schmidt, who I kept up until about two seasons ago, as he was only twelve talent.
What's the key to becoming a top iGP manager?
Copy people. I've pretty much gotten to where I am by copying strategies that have worked, and changing them by a lap or two, per stint, if I feel the need to (such as being stuck in traffic, etcetera. It's very easy to learn fuel loads per lap at each track, and after you have completed one whole season, you can adjust them to the optimal amount per stint.
Are you going to beat Jason Lee for the #1 spot in ranking?
I would like to think so, seeing how he is not racing as we swapped over to BST meaning he can no longer compete with us, until we go back to GMT. Although last season has left my car design for this season a bit behind, I think I still have a chance of gaining reputation points, as the design is only about five or ten percent off from where I would normally be at the start of the season anyway. But don't tell anyone!
IGP racing league has TIe fighter winning a race over that slower team by the way. only happened earlier on. not as dominant as expected though.
