Q2 Update & Sim Racing Partnerships

I'd like to open this blog by announcing a couple of new sim racing partnerships for iGP Manager. Of course we have been partnered with the highly successful My3id Gaming team in the last 18 months, but we've just recently become title sponsor of iRacing Brasil and the SR 24h de la Sarthe 2012.

Thanks to Rafael Sanque of iRacing Brasil and Lutz Enger for their co-operation and enthusiasm in working with us. We appreciate it guys, and look forward to some great racing!

Q2 Update

Now, I'm sure many of you are wondering when news about the Q2 patch will be coming out. We haven't forgotten! We wanted to spend the first third of this quarter stabilising the platform and getting rid of any bugs or glitches. We're almost done with this process, and I think that iGP Manager is all the better for it. Gone are the connection problems and other glitches that have persisted since launch.

Now that things are settling in nicely we'll be able to push ahead with some Q2 updates. The thing I am most looking forward to is the mobile version of iGP Manager. We should know this month whether or not that will include a mobile version of the 2D viewer, which is our ultimate aim, though my gut feeling is that this will take quite a bit longer than the web to port to mobile devices. I expect the mobile 2D viewer to potentially be a Q3 update.

Since Java Runtime doesn't exist on any tablet or Mobile excluding the Window's Surface Pro, the answer is a definate no.

iOS? :/ I don't want to go all Android/PC nazi on that but the iproducts are not as popular as they used to be. The iPad came out 8 years after the first Tablet.

As for focusing on what platforms it can be available on. I would rather buy an Android tablet which has the same resoures of an iPad but for 1/3rd or 1/4th the price of an iPad. The priority is the gameplay and fixing an issue with the game itself. Q3 has been announced to contain a mobile App for the 2D viewer.

I've contacted the people who develop our accounts system to see if we can get something done about that. No reply yet, but I'll keep pestering them.

Got an Android tablet recently for developing on and for casual use, and I must say I think iGP is going to be perfectly suited to that kind of device. I can't wait to start working on it. :)

Mobile App with the 2D viewer will allow me to go out more and not carry my Partner's laptop everywhere :D I am opted to get a netbook though. Any fixes expected for the facebook login preventing people from logging out of their game account while they are still logged into facebook?
