iGP price and Reward Point change & free iRacing codes

Over the past two months it probably has not gone unnoticed that we have been making some changes to how iGP Games operates as a business.  We have done quite a bit of work behind the scenes analyzing customer data and how to better streamline our product and vision for future growth.

We are advancing to our next step in this process today by revamping our pricing model and adding the ability to purchase reward points that can be used in the game.  This has been done to better align our revenue model with other premium games and to allow us to simplify the purchasing process for new users.

Going forward new customers will no longer have the option of one, three or six month packages for our premium content and 2D viewer.  We will have a single option for new customers which will be a year subscription to this package for £29.99.  Current customers with existing plans can choose to remain on those plans if they have their accounts set to auto-renew. For those playing the game for free you will not be impacted at all by this and new customers can still play for free if they so choose.

The purchase of reward points enables existing customers to buy in-game items as well as gift reward points to other members, which they can use to get free subscriptions or other rewards. If the use of reward points becomes popular we plan on expanding our catalog of options in-game for purchase.

Finally through our partnership with iRacing.com we are excited to announce that players who win a driver or constructor championship will now get a code good for a free month of iRacing for new user signups.  If you already have an iRacing subscription you can give the code to a friend to use!

As a quick development update we have made terrific progress on the new design system and a host of bug fixes and improvements to the simulation engine.  We will post a development update on this work in the near future.
