Why am I unable to receive advertisements?

If you are unable to watch the daily maximum allowable ads in iGP Manager, receiving fewer ads or none at all, there can be several reasons for this, most of which are not within the control of the developers. It may be related to your device, ad networks, ad availability or other circumstances out of our control. Here are some common reasons for this:

1. Interference from ad tracking options in your device settings

Your device settings may be affecting your ability to receive more or any ads. You may try the following to increase your ability to receive more ads:

  • Re-install the iGP Manager app (only recommended if you sign in using Facebook or an e-mail address).
  • For Android devices, clear the app cache and app data in your phone's settings or application manager (only clear app data if you sign in using Facebook or an e-mail address).
  • For Android devices, open Settings, then Google, then Ads. Turn off 'Opt out of ads personalization'. If turning this option off does not help, you can also tap 'Reset Advertising ID'.
  • For iOS devices, open Settings, then Privacy, then Advertising. Turn off 'Limit Ad Tracking'. If turning off 'Limit Ad Tracking' does not help, return to the Advertising settings on your device and tap 'Reset Advertising Identifier...' located below 'Limit Ad Tracking'.

2. Tracking consent

Depending on your country or locality, your consent may be required to use your data for advertising targeting. In cases where consent is required, you will see a pop-up requesting for your consent to advertising targeting.

Choosing not to consent does not necessarily mean you are unable to receive ads, however, non-personalised ads will be served to you. Non-personalised ads are often limited in availability, which may result in exhausting the number of ads available for viewing before reaching your daily maximum allowable ads.

If none of these helps, here are other reasons why you may not be receiving more ads:

3. Advertisers cutting back on ads

Advertisers may be dynamic in how aggressively they advertise. Sometimes, they may reduce the amount of advertising and thus reduces the number of ads available.

4. Advertisers targeting users in specific regions or interest

Advertisers choose who can receive their ads to efficiently target users most likely to be interested in their products. It may even be the case that ads are available, but that they aren't targeted to your demographic at that moment, and so none can be shown.

5. Advertisers limiting the same advertisement

Most advertisers limit the number of times the same ad can be shown within a certain period of time. If you have previously viewed many ads within several days, especially the same ads repeatedly, it may take time for more ads to become available.

6. Data restriction or slow internet connection

Ads served as videos take longer to download. If your data is restricted, ads may not be able to be downloaded. You may also be unable to watch ads or may find it takes longer to receive ads if a slow connection is present.
