When you win in Rookie and Pro you are pushing out to an higer level; this means that you are forced to grow and who remain have more opportunity to win (and more fun).
When you win in Elite you remain in Elite, and you become stronger and stronger and other are bored due to difficulties to overtake the stronger.
The car reset at season's beginning is not enough, because the stronger remains "the stronger of the weakers".
So, why not replicate in Elite the same of Rookie and Pro?
The idea is: THE TEAM WHO WINS THE CONSTRUCTOR CHAMPIONSHIP IN ELITE WILL RECEIVE FOR THE NEXT SEASON A CAR AT THE SAME LEVEL OF THE LOWEST TEAM IN ELITE.
This will create chances to win for many others (more fun for more people), it will be a big stimuls for all and a renewal of the challange in Elite every season avoiding a fixed leadership.
Is it a bad idea?

yes.If the lowest team in the league has been in the Elite tier for the whole last season,Their car stats are basically the same as the leader due to all CDs and TDs of every teams have been researching the whole season. So if you bring the reigning champion down to the lowest car's stats,it will only be slightly slower due to start of season balancing, not to mention their DRS and KERS are still at their level so they still have that e
advantage

The concept is worth debating, it would certainly make the top managers work harder to retain their title.
The downside for me is that if implemented this would penalise people just because they're good?
In my league there is a team who have won the last ten consecutive team championships, my goal is to beat them in a straight fight. Beating them because of an artificially imposed handicap would detract from the achievement.

Also... If the elite tier is not full unscrupulous managers could use a second account with 1dp in each attribute to cripple the reigning champion. Join the league before the last race of the season and leave after the first race of the following season.

In my idea.
1st. The Constructor Champ have to be reset not to the level of lowest of the previous season but to the lowest new entry.
2nd. I don't want to penalize the winner but allow more people to compete. In US basket and football the winner is the last in drafts; the aim is to increase the potential winners.
3rd: 10 championship with the same winner? Boooorrrrriiiiing... and do you like it? What's your name, Mr. Masoch? :-D We already have a real F1 where winners are always the same, let's do something different

The only problem I can see here is that older accounts will have more developed HQs than newer accounts. That's made one player quit my league already, but your "solution" doesn't solve this at all.
Because manager level eventually evens out, everyone can have evenly leveled Designers long before teams are truly even. Evenly leveled designers would mean teams would start the season with comparable stats in the first place, and the higher-HQ teams will improve faster anyway. What you're proposing punishes the winner AND makes having a CD with a favourable strength/weakness pointless if you win. There are also plenty of players who make it into Elite with a poorly-managed team, and it's not at all fair to drag other players down because of it.
There IS a limit to how good a team can be at a certain level, you just have to have the patience to reach that. Or you could just save tokens to speed up HQ development.
A more fair option all-around would be to automatically improve HQ buildings when a player levels, though that's also a bad idea because it takes away either a strategy element or a revenue stream. (hoo boy, my greatest challenge in this game to date was facing off against a HQ-boosted new alt account of a manager who reached the HoF top 40)

TL;DR, everyone evens out eventually if they're playing properly, and if they're not they don't deserve to be handed wins anyway. Always push to be the best you can be at your current Manager and HQ levels. Always be looking to see where you can improve.

Edit: I notice you're in your first season of your league's Elite tier, and that the leader's account is a day newer than yours. I can only assume your actual complaint is either
-People token-boosting their HQ development
-Starting the season with Pro-level car design instead of Elite when you promote

Could you elaborate on this please? I don't understand how this could cripple the reigning champ.

Lorenzo's idea as I understood it was that the championship winning team is reset to be equal to the lowest team in Elite. So if I have a second account where all the attributes are very low, I join the league before the last race of the season. When the new season is generated and all teams designs are reset the champion will be reset to the lowest design... ie my second account. I then pull the team back out of the league to prevent any design improvement so that I can do the same trick at the end of the season (always assuming I don't win).

Of course this only works if Elite has less than 14 teams otherwise the dummy account gets relegated to pro.

Ahh I got ya! I was thinking that you meant there was a way to cripple the reigning champ within the game as it stands at this moment in time.

I think we should give an option to the 1st 2nd 3rd winner, which is if they willing to reset their car design they'll get some cash or tokens in return (based on their position or current car design)

Hiband Merry Christmas.
For sure with more accounts you can partially overtake the reset.
For sure if have a well developed design you will recover fast the gap.
But for sure the championship will be without a fixed leader.
The main question I think coul be: what we prefer? A championship well balanced as Indycar is, or a chanpionship with long leadership as F1 is?
I prefer Indy, but it's only my thinking.
What developers are trying to obtain?

I don't know if is the best solution, but for sure they must do something. This game is fantastic, but too many things must change soon... otherwhise there is no reason to play for 20-30 seasons...

I don't have this problem, yes I dominate in Elite, but that's more due to my drivers I believe than my car, because I got a worse car than two other guys atm. When the season started somebody who joined our league midway the season before got by far the best car and all the others who did Elite the season before got one strong point were they were equal with the new guy, and were 43/42 at the others, like normal. The only ones not able to compete were the guys from Pro, which is normal, as they have to comeback from far.

Uhm, I don't see dominating.......... In my league we have one big guy to beat, Kip, but he is the one to beat because of extreme good strategies, in the summer we have Tan, who is extremely good on Hard tyres in warm weather, and we have Sebas, somebody who is good with supersofts I'm good in Europe and cold wheater with softs, we have got a great league, only I'm dominating because of my good driver, Tan has got problemes with finances, Kip has bottled some races, by pitting for wets and things like that. I think we have got a great grid, maybe you should join us?

If such a feature is wanted I'd say maybe something like the champion team getting 1 kg (or a different amount considered suitable and maybe for a set amount of races) of ballast added for each consecutive Elite championship might be less exploitable. But in my opinion this must be an optional setting to decide for leagues because my view is absolutely in line with Kevins, no matter how often I don't win, if I win I want to win because I improved my racing and not because the champion was dragged down to, or below, my (teams) abilities.

This isn't a game with infinite progression. There's a big performance wall that every team will hit, at which point the only difference between teams will be player skill.
This thread just comes across as crying because you're not scoring points your first season (with a Pro tier season start!) in a full Elite tier.

You can't win so instead of building up your team and improving your skills, you want to give a handicap to the top teams, who already in spite of winning races and championships do not receive any significant rewards with all teams more or less having the same gains? You're level 11, so there's lots of development to go for your team. You usually can't expect to be on par with managers higher level than you immediately.

This team of mine was level 15 when it won its first championship in the strongest 1 car league in the game, with the top managers being levels 18-20. It is a fun and friendly league with lots of great guys and I recommend managers to join it if they're looking for a great community and a challenge. But there'll be a handful of people, not necessarily in that league, who would still wail "Why you so OP, give others a chance" (jokingly mostly, but still) in spite of me being just level 15-16. What's next, I miss 4 races minimum and can only develop to 80dp max in any attribute?

This is literally one of the few non-pay-to-win multiplayer games out there. If you're bored of losing, go to an easier league or actually work your way to become competitive. A player far better than you will overcome the initial 100dp disadvantage by the 3rd or 4th race before winning again anyway.

-
Alternatively, managers who are too dominant in one league should probably look for a better challenge elsewhere if they want a fresh change of scenery.

@BOOMER maybe I was not clear... I am not looking for an easy way to win. I am looking for a way to allow to win 3-4 teams per race rather than the only one... in my leage we had 12 consecutive victories of the same team and driver... boring
And two elite menagers gone
