Just wondering any of you any calculated how much mobile data playing a race at 2x speed (i.e. 40-50 mins) would normally use?
After joining for the last 2 weeks I used nearly 500MB so it would be 1GB a month or did I do my maths wrong?
Anybody has similar calculations?

I race in a 100% league that runs just once a week and the speed is 1.5x, so races last about an hour. My data usage is in the 30-50MB range for each race.

It depends on what other apps are permitted to use data in the background, however, if you have an iPhone, you can track how much mobile data is used in Settings -> Cellular, then look at the iGP Manager app under Cellular Data.
iGP Manager does not use much data itself. I spectated a race for 30 minutes that was running at 1.5x for 50% distance and my iPhone says data consumed was 4.7 MB, and my cell phone service provider (T-Mobile) documented 2.55MB of usage.
Meanwhile, other apps were operating in the background during my usage, but those combined used less than 1MB of data over the period of 30 minutes I spectated.
To improve confidence in these results I will try to test it some more when I have the time.
