Hi,
For todays league race in turkey 3.7l were predicted for one lap. Until now i never had a problem with predictions, even pushing the whole race as Freeuser. for 29 laps i calculated like my stints this:
Driver 1: 37l/37l34l = 10+10+9 ( 9 laps beeing eactly 33.3l wich i rounded up to 34 as usual )
Driver 2: 34l/37l/37l= 9+10+10
Default Setting before setting up was 3x 36l.
My drivers came both in at lap 9 and both pittet at lap 28. For me it's a bug because that never happened before, running my 3rd season now the way of calculating never had changed.
What's going on here? i thought the consumption depend on what your technician suggests or that the basic setup would be sufficent with the amount of liters ( beeing sufficent for three stints is another story though )
Regards

As you can see, my driver had spent 3.7l per lap constantly as predicted by the technician, but pittet with 4l left in the tank twice wich ruined the race forcing a pitstop when 2 rounds were to go.
The same happened to the other driver. nobody else with a similar problem?

Total guess:
Fuel is predicted on an empty circuit.
Overtaking and interactions with other cars burns more fuel.

You're right. I see the game more on it's own, in some areas it has it's own rules and you as player adapt to them ( if you want to win ) and it becomes a special experience wich wouldn't truely translate to real motorsport in many cases. Pitting with 4l. was something wich broke that experience a little bit because my strategy evolved over time, you just try to find the sweetspot.
In todays race 3.7 was predicted and with 30 laps to go i set up 37l for each stint, without a problem and having lots of fights during the race. Just wanted to test if i have to change my concepts of the game but now it seems to work like before.
We are not dealing with artificial intelligence here, the drivers actions are calculations based on code ( if - then ) and maybe under certain circumstances this code fails. that was the reason i posted it in the bug forum. I doubt that a driver himself predicts the amount of fuel he will need for a lap to come, i think that it's coded the way that he pits if there is less fuel in the tank than the technician predicts. that is one of my experiences i have with this game due to seeing the results for each race. And especially because i made a lot of faults when i started in my first season.
The decisisions value of the drivers could explain strange behaviour if it would be ver low, but in the past i had drivers with lower values and it didn't happen. Only the balance of the values could explain random strange behaviour, but i'm not sure if this game already has this depth ( for example like the Foootballmanager from Sigagames and it's value system were the decisions value is crucial and tied to man other sub values ).
