Part of the reason i think Hard tyres are so uncompetative at the moment is due to the time it takes to get them to the optimal temperature. I think there should be an option to set the temperature of the tyres before they get put onto the cars. It adds another element of stratedgy and also brings in different tyre stratedgys too. Atleast this way it wont take the hard tyres a good 3 laps to get to a 'average' temperature.

I don't see why this would be implemented. Even when tyre warmers are used on the grid, they can't generate nearly enough heat that the tyre in itself can generate when being driven on track. There are much better ways to implement more tyre strategies, such as:
- Having to use both compounds, as we see in F1 today.
- Being able to design a car which can heat up its tyres quickly, save its tyres more, or somewhere in between.
- Maybe being able to change something on the setup of the car, which affects tyre warm up and saving it?
I'm not saying yours is a bad idea, I just think it's a little unrealistic.

at least it is something you can spent some money on :p

But it will atleast give it some heat, its better than none. And maybe there can be a setting to set it to where the manager thinks is best.

i like both ideas being talked here +1, heres my idea, make the game more complicated (its too easy). give more choice in design like jamie kinda said, but overall put in even the little realistic things. Atm the game is part realistic part unrealistic, but I understand its a game in work and progress (and alot of bugs :P)
