Water level on the track before start of GP

Hi,

Is there a way to check water level on the track before the start of GP to choose correct tires?

I know that you can check aprox by making lap on I and than on W tires but to check excactly?

Thanks for any suggestions.

One way I know is to check a live race, however that isn't exactly accurate either.
