Hi

Hoping someone can explain.... Because I am confused.

I am a level 17 manager with a level 17 CD, he has 19 Talent, 20 experience and 18 morale.
Strength = Downforce Weakness = Cooling
My CD has been with me for at least 3 full seasons.
Entering a new season my car design is as follows
24 for Cooling
45 for Acceleration, braking, fuel economy and tyre economy
46 for Handling and Reliability
50 for Downforce

How is that a level 15 manager can have a better car design than me at the start of a season ?
His CD is level 11, 11 talent, 20 experience, 11 morale.
Strength Reliability
Weakness Cooling
His car design looks to be all at level 50 part from cooling.

Thanks

Colin

Had the same issue once.
I think car design sets a bit randomly. It's like a F1 team with best staff and lots of money doesn't have the best car each year.
Though I'd like to know the real reason too.

Hi Colin.
First of all it's not necessarily the level that determines the effectiveness of your CD it's their star rating. Your starting design looks about correct for a 4.5 star CD and I expect you have suppliers who give you a bonus point in handling, reliability and downforce so I'm guessing your design isn't the issue here.
Regarding your competitor having a higher than expected design, my guess is that he/she is starting their second season in your league. When someone switches leagues they start with an awful design in their first season then for some reason at the beginning of their second season they are maxed in all but their CD weakness. Don't worry, next season your competitor will return to normal.
Look on the positive side, plenty of research points for you LOL.
