A new team or a new retirement home?

I created a brand new team but both my driver are very old and tired and want to retire after their (first) contract, so I cannot sell them and there is also no point to train them. The only way is to waste this team and start a new one.
But before doing that I would like to ask you if every new team in 2018 starts like this or is only a big bad luck.

Thanks for your answers, imo this isn't a good way for the game to build a new team, it should be better leave the team without drivers and let the player find them in the market.
