Performance loss after promotion

I got promoted to Elite today and my car was really good performance wise. Right after promotion though, every stat of the performance report roundabout halved. I had acceleration on 89 (max + engine supplier bonus) and that is now 35 or so. Is that normal or not? This is the first time I am that high up and if this is a bug, it will hinder me completely unnecessarily! So if you could look into this, this would be highly appreciated. Thank you for any help!

If you promoted, then your season ended. Your stats "reset" EVERY season.

If your CD was hired recently, they likely haven't had time to fully develop your next season's car
