Driver didn't go to race and weird car wear

So.. (first of all sorry for my broken English, it isn't my main language)

A friend of mine (I play in a league with him) had a problem an hour ago when one of his driver's didn't appear at the race, this driver did his usual practice laps and had a strategy saved and everything like always, but didn't show up. That's pretty weird...

What's even weirder? His car showed car wear (engine and parts) and the car whose driver drove the race didn't wear out at all.

The team name is FuenRenaultF1Team and the driver who didn't show up to the race but had car wear is V Bottas
