Hey,

So about half an hour ago I tried to ran the practice laps in Monza. I was watching the weather, it showed partly cloudy everywhere. I ran my first lap with slicks, but it was on a wet track. "Great timing", I thought. I quit back to the home page and it still showed partly cloudy, so did the weather forecast. Went back to the practice session, showed partly cloudy as well, again. Ran another lap and when the lap was done it switched back to rainy weather once again.

Long story short, it showed partly cloudy everywhere all the time, but as soon as I ran a practice lap, it gave me rain and not just the icon, I was actually running on a wet track. When I quit, the weather reset and it showed partly cloudy again, but it would once again switch to rain in practice.

It's very frustrating that I can't practice on a dry track since I'm expecting that for the race, not rain. And I can only hope the race weather won't be buggy.

If after the practice lap it shows above the "Try setup" button a symbol with rain, then those are the current conditions on track, however, it may not necessarily be raining, but a wet track with no rain.

In my experience, the clue is the settings the driver asks for. If the driver asks for dry settings (ride height and wing) but the car is faster on inters or wets it is not currently raining but the track is wet.

In a nutshell, the settings a driver asks for gives you an indication of current weather conditions and the lap time/tyre compound an indication of how wet the track is.
