A few members of my league and I have noticed that the number of parts needed to repair our cars seems to be increasing every race. This is despite me upgrading my car's reliability by a few points after each race.
I needed 8 parts per car after the last race and only had 11. The previous race, I needed 7 parts per car.
Other members of my league have said they now need up to 10 per car.
Please can you look into this and fix it as soon as possible? I can't face the idea of having to watch 9+ videos just to repair my second car towards the end of the season!
Thanks
Liz

As you improve aspects of your car the cost of repair is higher.

Thanks for your reply Jose, this is the first season this has happened to me though so it seems to be something to do with the update. Is this something that was changed as part of that?
I must admit it's the sort of thing that is likely to put me off playing as I refuse to spend real money on a game and don't want to have to watch ad after ad.

Increase your Manufacturing, increase your reliability.

How many parts are needed depends also on the track you just raced. Monaco is really easy on the car and thus requires very few parts to repair afterwards. Monza (Italy) is, again, the complete opposite.
As intermediate solution you could still use token from the sponsors to buy some parts. In the meantime build up the Manufacturing building ASAP if you haven't done so. Then keep the Design building 1-2 levels below your team level, this building influences the most how parts expensive your car repairs are.
Probably because of rounding especially in the level 12-15 you need a good deal more parts (20-30/season with my old team) than you can manufacture if you have both buildings maxed out. So either you make sure you can spend the token and thus make sure you budget your needs in between engines, cash and parts or sacrifice a few design points. Then there is indeed reliability but if this haven't got a boost I missed to notice it's not that much.
Edit: Another emergency help is not repairing for the last race(s). After the last one of the season you get a new car and thus you need no parts no matter how damaged the old one was. Of course it means sacrificing speed there.

Means, it's a good idea to repair after every race (except the last 2 or 3 maybe)? Right now I'm way ahead of the field in my season and would just repair the car about every 3 races. But the car becomes better during this 3 races, so it's more expensive to wait?

It still doesn't make sense to me though..before the update, my drivers usually only said my car needed repairing evvwry other race, but now it's after every race. It's costing me at least double the parts it did before which just doesn't seem right

It’s right, although my drivers don’t report it, the cars always need repairing after each race. Sometimes it is only a few parts, other times it is many more. I often need to replace around 10 parts for my car after each race, unless it is a wet race when it is less (as is the engine wear). If you push hard I believe it has a knock on effect on the parts wear too...
