Hello,

I've been playing the game for a while, and I have a question regarding fuel consumption. If I plan on staying out on a single stint for 9 laps, for example, but i put 8.9 laps of fuel in the car for that stint, will I be able to finish the planned amount of laps if I regulate the push level during the race?

I know a bunch of you will tell me to try it out, but, I'm currently locked in a championship battle, and I don't want to ruin my chances by losing a car for a race.

For all of you that want to share, thanks a million.

Don't do your calculations based on laps when choosing your strategy. Calculate the fuel usage from your practice laps by the number of laps you want to do in the race and then use that value as the amount of litres you put in for each stint then up to you to add in your push level variables.

Not sure if using lower push levels save fuel?

Lower push levels do save fuel.
About practice laps fuel usage, I wouldn't rely on those estimates 100%, as practice laps are run at neutral push level.
Take some notes of fuel usage for every race and your Fuel Economy level on that race. This would give you more precise numbers :)

Look this example made by @Kevin Bissell

Andy is right about using practice laps to determine fuel mileage and lower push uses less fuel.  Remember practice laps are run at P3 (push 3), so if you run P1 or P2 you will use less (running SS tire for example). By calculating fuel mileage, you will find you can run as low as 8.7 and still make 9 laps. You can go back in look at a previous race at that track and see how much you actually used as well.

Related to fuel economy, sort of, lets say at the end of a stint you have 6 liters of fuel left when you go into the pits, and when you created the strategy, you wanted to put 30 liters of fuel in the car at the pitstop. Will 24 liters be put in since 6 are left or will 30 liters still be put in?

If you have 6 litres of fuel remaining you'll receive 24 litres, topping you up to 30.

Thank you for the clarification!
