Why didn't you mention both cars had the same amount of fuel, without this you first point can seem misleading.
Where your softs still "fresh" by the end of the race? How many laps did you use them?
What was the gap between you and the opponent, where you ahead or behind? You may have been getting blocked
How much faster were the hards than the softs? (per lap)
How can you know if you had the same fuel to your opponent, when you could both be using different PL which affects how much fuel you need?
What PL did your opponent use?
What do you mean by comparible? Are your drivers less skilled or more skilled? I can't tell from the words, "Drivers are comparible".
What level is the other manager?
What level does he have in boost?
How much design points does he have?
How much health do your and his drivers have?
Was the cold weather 10c? or just below 20c?
What track was this (as I said before this is important)?
Answer all these questions and you won't need to sketch anything my friend
Remember, the amount of laps hards do is almost ignorable because they barely gain any wear during their stints, depending on the PL 10 laps will do nothing to the pace of the Hards...
As you can see, 20% wear was lost but my times still improved by 2 seconds. I had the same "neutral" push all race.
I believe that currently the pace of tyres in this game depend too much on the temperature of the actual tyre, and much less the temp of the track. Currently it is too easy to get Hards into temperature on most of the tracks when they are at a cold temp, and too easy to overheat the softer tyres and too hard to get them to cool down again. Giving us a bigger range of PL would help the latter problem, and introducing Hards that are even harder to heat up would probably help the previous statement. The bad thing is introducing these would probably make the ss way too good in the winter/colder temps, and surprisingly good in the summer/warmer temps. Fixing tyres isn't as easy as saying fix the tyres...
