That happens when there's not good Internet connection.

José
That happens when there's not good Internet connection.

I want to disagree with the simplistic explanation!

I have gotten this phantom times in the past few days while on a 250mb connection at home and 1gb connection in work. To say its caused by "not good Internet connection" is not entirely accurate.

Unfortunately I tend to agree with Jamie here. It's not an Internet connection issue.

Probably it's similar to the "wrong race classification" bug that happened the other day where races were run on two different instances/severs and only the results of the races that were run on the "latest" servers got recorded. That would be my best guess!!

Can't say anything about yours but in all the instances I had this error it indeed showed the signs of a connection time out.

Mostly it was the return packet that was late but a (hard) refresh of the browser returned the correct lap data.
Very rarely, I think twice, it was the sending packet and a refresh removed the lap altogether, but it seems only if you don't do another lap.
In times of otherwise noticeably heavy server load occasionally the games server itself seems to let the request time out and thus that wrong lap data also sits in the games database and a refresh can't help there.

Hey, sorry about this issue. Frank's answer is most correct, it's when the data does not come back because there was a time out of some sort.

Sometimes, a refresh can indeed bring up the correct information, but most other times this is usually not the case.

This problem has been noted and will gradually disappear as the developers work out some kinks caused by issues that occurred recently with the game service.

Certainly, I dont disagree that some sort of time out is the cause.

However I disagree with the very simplistic and inaccurate explanation that the issue is caused by "not good internet connection".
This in its literal translation is blaming the internet connection of the person who is trying to play the game.

Thanks for clarifying the answer Frank and Yunus.
