The timing board and 2d viewer are just out of sync. I have no idea what is going on. The timeboard appears to always be correct but the cars on track aren't showing correctly. Some guys are being shown as running around the track at half pace, even though they are still in their correct position. I keep having to refresh 2D to get the true positions. I can open 2D twice with two different browsers and people are all showing in different positions to what they actually are, and they're all in different places on both 2D's etc. Cars keep disappearing from 1 side of the track, back to the pit - Some are going from the pits to the other side of the track. It's impossible to keep up with it all. My race just fast forwarded two whole laps aswell, and when I refreshed 2D it was back to normal. After 30 seconds it was out of sync again.

Edit: It's not my connection either. The other 2D guy in my league had the same problem and he is in a completely different country.

My driver in P2 was just showing on the track, running about 5 seconds a lap slower for no reason what so ever. He dropped back to P5 while doing this, but on the timer he was still showing in second. I refreshed 2D and he appeared normal again, in P2, and then after 30 seconds other peoples drivers were doing the same thing. It's like the viewer is randomly showing people going at different paces.. Not sure what the deal is.

^ Its to do with the fact that races were delayed/restarted so the original qualifying results appeared for the restarted race

Unfortunately theres nothing I can do to resolve it, best bet would be to try and continue the race at present. Once Andrew/Jack are back online they will be able to discuss whether a race restart etc will be possible [with league hosts permission]

Apologies for the races effected which i know are

The Formula 1 League & The Royal Rumble

Any others races/leagues effected please leave details below

Also please try and keep any related chat in this thread so everything can be looked at/dealt with easier :)

So the devs have gone offline in the middle of a problem?

We don't need the race re-done or anything, it was just frustrating. As far as I know the results stayed how they should have been, but it was making it impossible to kers and what not.

Yeah, specifically the races starting at 20:30 GMT have been affected, which are the leagues mentioned by David. It was a bit short notice but I posted asking anyone who wanted their races restarted to do so in another thread on related issues. As the formula 1 league did I've pushed their calendar back a day, but clearly your race ran and suffered problems.

I can only apologize for the situation. I'm equally frustrated that it cropped up. I was attempting to perform a simple restoration of some data to a more efficient system. It didn't go in on the first few attempts for various reasons, so we changed tact and a completely alternate upload method solved it. This all resulted in a small window where the data wasn't there, regarding facilities. As things are in iGP, if even the most minute piece of data is absent then it's going to cause problems.

There's not a lot we could have done to foresee this or the side-effects it would cause. The good news is it's not going to happen again because the data is there now. We're also getting a much better grip on these things in general, with thousands of races running problem-free since the last issue that forced us to restart races. We'll have to chalk this one up to experience.

Yeah wasn't really too fussed. As I said, it didn't affect the outcome at the end of the race so I can't complain too much. We still managed to smash a new lap record at Suzuka with all this going on ;)
