Hello.I would like to know what are the criteria of calculating how many stars a car gets in each race.Specificly how can this car get 4.5 stars in italian gp today and from 1-4 positions every race to strugle so mutch comparing to other people. How is the car points calculated in the end of the season for the begining car.I always stard 5-10 points behind every one  and strugle to reach the top 3-4 people ho seem to have a huge advandage every year.I have max buildings for my lvl like the others 4,5 stars crew maxed drivers and everything else you could think of.I could use a reply on this because it is very frustrating to never bbe able to start with a good car but other people do every seasson.my car starts with very low stats comparing to other people and wile we all get 18 points almost some sem to get like 25 in eatch race.never able to catch the fast cars but in the mid-end seasson were everything else is maxed

The starting design for the season is determined by your Chief Designer (CD). Assuming you are Elite tier, to get maximum design points you need three CDs, you need to rotate them and they all have to be 5 star. However, this is very expensive and you will still get a perfectly adequate start of season design with a single 5 star CD, this will give you a base design (without supplier bonus) of 330 points. You will have 50 in CD strength, 22 in CD weakness and 43 in the remaining 6.
Of course the strength and weakness of the CD will also affect the competitiveness of the car. You do not want a CD weak in one of the "big four".

Research is determined by a combination of Chief Designer and Technical Director. Go for 5 star in both to maximise research.
Also maximum research percentage is affected by your manager level, the lower your level the higher will be your research potential. At L20 with 5 star CD & TD you will achieve 40% if you research a single attribute.
Also be aware if you research your CD strength you will get more research points than than calculated by research percentage and for weakness you will get fewer points.
Finally, research is calculated on the difference between base design, i.e. it ignores supplier bonuses.

Edit. I'm assuming here that all of your facilities are at the same level as your manager level although I'm not aware of any link between facilities and research.
