@Jamie, I'm pretty sure the championships without even racing is a visual glitch created by the game if not a logical error in the game. If you look at the first championship number, it says "5".
This is a glitch that a lot of players have and I don't know why it exists or how it's caused but there is a clear difference in how the championships are calculated in the "leagues visited" list and the "total championships" number on the stats page.
Although I had one interesting thought reading your message: if you join a league that only has 1 other competitor in it (meaning that no races are run and this competitor has 0 points and no results) after Brazil (meaning that you won't complete a race because of the 24h rule), who gets the championship (neither has better results than the other in any way) :D? Will the game crash?
