Some players in my league tell me that sometimes it happens that if you set the fuel for 1 or 2 laps on the final, the game still loads fuel for 5 or 6 laps, it does not always happen but often.
If they pit with 12 liters of fuel and change the setting to fuel for 6 liters, no fuel will be added because the existing fuel already exceeds 6 liters. The pit crew cannot take fuel out of the car. (Not sure if this is indeed the problem but you can ask the managers in your league whether this is what they encountered.)
No problem is different, they come with very little fuel, maybe for a wrong calculation, they want to put fuel to cover only 1- 2 laps that remain in the race, but the system puts fuel for 5-6 laps.

The game throws in the fuel that was set up. If you didn't change it, take the settings of the last pit.
from what I was told by the manager, he entered the pits on the last lap, he wanted to put the fuel strictly necessary to finish the race, so he selected the number of desired liters equal to those needed to make 1 lap, but the the system still put petrol for 5 laps.
However, if anything should happen again, I'll let you know.
