Sponsor objectives?

I’ve only been playing for about 4 races and just had my first race where sponsor didn’t pay. I’ve just read on the forums that the sponsors objective is only shown after qualifying. Why is this such a short window and why do you not see  their objectives when you choose the sponsor. That way you’d know which sponsor to choose based on how confident you are?

The objective normally is based on your finish in previous races I've found your objective is normally to finish 1 place higher than the last race

No not really because I've finished 1-2 in the past 2 races and both times my objective was finish 5th or better
