Hi all,

I'm intrigued. We had a wet weather race last night, and only a few people seemed to notice it.
(Luckily... I was one). Lots of people joined to find they were using Intermediates but with a "Dry car setup".

Oddly, the guy who won & lots of dry setups did much better than wet setup people. Some people who paid 3 coins for the perfect wet setup did far far worse than usual, even losing out to Dry setup cars they usually have no issues with.
Not sure if this is all working correctly, but for "science" on my 2nd car the "3 coins option" added about 12 wing and 11 ride height to my car, and yet it was overtaken by the dry setup cars.

So whilst it seems the system does have a concept of "wet setup" it doesn't seem to make much difference, in fact wet setups might harm the players who pay 3 coins when its dry. The optimal dry setup will change with the weather and the wet setup change is worse!

Obviously I can know all the drivers / teams preps. But from the chats it seems like its worth a look at:

In general are 3 Levels of rain.

1 Light rain that is around 2.0 mm of water Setup is almost the same and sometimes the same with dry setup (Intermediate)
2 Normal rain that is around 3.1 mm of water Setup is around to 20 (Wet and Intermediate are about the same at 3.1 mm)
3 Heavy rain that is at 5.0 mm of water Setup is around 30 (Wet)

"ideal setup" give the current conditions setup but rain most of times is not stable so from the moment you used it till race and through the race many things can change adding a) car design b) fuel c) drivers d) Strategy e) temperature and the way we handle the race are some variables for our results in race.

Sorry I did forget to add the level of rain & location
Was UK race and rain was quoted at being 3.1 I believe during the race.
With most players running a Firm - 12 - 4 level setup for dry. I ran a 24/16 setup thinking it might be wet, and suffered a bit.

Would be interesting to see a dry setup in the 5.0mm of rain, I suspect it wouldnt fair much worse than a wet setup if the current trend happens.

I was going to test again tonight, but at the last moment the weather cleared up... so no wet race :(
