Make the App for Smartphones just like the App for Tablets.
On Tablets you can see both drivers at same time, manage both drivers at same time and you can use double kers for both drivers at same time.
On Smartphone you can't see both drivers at same time and you have to switch between them, you have to tap many times on the switch every lap just to manage the push levels and you can't use double kers for both drivers at same time.
It's like that on ALL tracks, phone players are HEAVILY penalized compared to tablet players.
Especially the Italian GP, which is all about DRS and KERS, a skilled phone player has to be really LUCKY to beat a just as skilled tablet player. 99% of times the tablet player wins it, otherwise you need to leave one driver behind by himself and just concentrate on one driver, if you wanna have a chance to win. I just lost a race in Italy (got P3-P4) just because my opponent used double kers to pull off and I couldn't reply to his move. I tried, in fact there is a way to use double kers on phone but it's too hard and tricky as you have to push kers, keep it pushed while switching to other driver and push kers again to use boost. But not only it's tricky, you also WASTE a lot of kers in the switching process, cause to stop the first driver kers you have to release the other driver kers, switch back to the first driver and push kers again to stop it. A total WASTE of kers and also very hard and tricky to make it work. I tried to reply to my opponent's move like that but I couldn't make it, wasted my kers and didn't manage to stay close to him, then obviously I gave up and took the P3-P4 for good. That's not fair.
Can't you just make the app like so you can rotate the phone and watch the race in landscape? So it shows both drivers at same time and you can just have the same possibilities as tablet players. Would that be too hard to make? This thing really drives me crazy everytime and makes me wanna play only in single car leagues just because of that. Did you ever take consideration of this thing? People who don't own/need a tablet can't buy one just to play iGP on equal terms with tablet players. And that makes the game unfair. And frustrating, if you play to win.

Have you considered the amount of space available on your phone's screen? I don't think it's possible to have both drivers visible on your phone while still able to see the cars, unless the icons and buttons are scaled down significantly, which makes it a lot harder to read.

With about 6" phones and of course larger it would be quite possible. Before the race viewer was made somewhat worse you could scale the GUI in the web version (browser set to desktop mode). There it was even quite possible to have the full race track view, both drivers push level screens and the drivers list (back then it was limited, to 9 drivers I think) on phone. Of course to judge the distance between cars properly you had to zoom in on cars a bit and the details in the drivers list were quite tiny but what else are those retina screens good for? The push level was a bit tricky with my thick fingers (still is) but I have an active stylus and with that it went like a charm. Unfortunately with the current viewer playing on phone is a catastrophe in web as well. You can't scale the GUI so you can't see anything of the track really in any case and you can't properly zoom and pan the track to make it fit decently on any screen, at least neither my phone, tablet and 27" at home anyway. So yes, while not perfect especially the larger phablet type phones do have enough screen real estate.

Oh I'm fighting against all this since I started playing. I even considered setting up only one car and doing the race managing only one driver just as some kind of protest.
The devs just don't care about this thing and most of players aren't so skilled to even notice the difference, as you can see from the amount of non interest your topic reached. Otherwise this would be a real debate, due to the real consistency of the issue.

I know what you mean, cause I play iGP on the phone; but, to be honest, this is a kinda lost battle.

(I don't think that the devs are gonna work in that feature for two reasons, which are too much work for it and they're only a 5 people team.)
