Lost Tokens

Tokens have been very scarce for me. They are hard to come by. I had NO IDEA that when you lost a bid on a driver that your tokens were no returned. I thought they was just held back until all bidding was over. I only had 8 tokens and I lost 7 of them in a list bid on a driver. This cripples me. Maybe I over looked it somewhere but I do not remember seeing anything about losing your tokens if you did not win the auction
Is this normal? If I knew that I would have never been bidding so crazy. Some one please explain

Yup it's correct tokens used during bidding are non returnable even if you win or lose the auction. Next time when you get to choose sponsors choose 3 tokens as first sponsor so this gives you 3 tokens each race. 

OK I really wish I would have known that first off did I miss that anywhere in the tutorial or is it just a lesson we have to kearl the hard way?

If you open menu button in game than go all the way to bottom to there are 3 options one with ? Mark on is the help button which explains how game works in there under the Transfers and Auction section all info is mentioned. Please have read of it if you haven't already. Also other useful info there as well while you are at it.
