Driver stuck at team

Hi I’m currently tracking a driver on my shortlist he has 8 races left on his contract but it appears the person no longer plays on the account due to having 20 DNF’s 
Now the issue is this team has been kicked from the league so currently has no races to races and this driver is stuck on having 8 races left on his contract so the driver is stuck at this team 
Is there anyway to release him?

No. Not unless the owner of that team releases the driver.  He will be contacted to that team. Better look for another good driver in market or find one in youth academy. Also this is not a bug so thread moved.
