The Monaco circuit always gives me fits.  I'm at level 19 and contend at every other venue but I can never muster more than an 8th place here.  I have tried various stint patterns and tyres but can never find how to improve there.  I'm just looking for some suggestions.  My last trip there I ran 3 stints all on super softs and worked to keep them from overheating and still no success.  If anyone has some suggestions or ideas I would be very grateful.

Try 5 stops, 13 lap stints on SS.

This is only one strategy of many that could be successful depending other competitors strategies.

3 stints on SS always works for me. The cars need development in the right places and it's a lot about how you manage the race.

Current Monaco is difficult. Only one compound that really works and a lot of dirty air especially during those last corners making DRS difficult, which also isn't that long anyway and in a train of 2 doesn't do much more than about making up the lost time due to that dirty air during the lap before. Also with 50% races those 3 stints possible even on those super softs puts you on calculated 13 laps each, which also happens to be just about that amount of laps placed just in between under- and overcut, so there's not much room for strategic games either. So what remains is a at least decent Qualifying and a good car and managing the race to get and hold on to a top position while using less KERS than anyone else trying to do the same.

There's some thing though, the devs plans are to readjust the wear rates of the tyres end of this month, with that all the cards might get reshuffled and a whole new bunch of options might arrive on the table. So maybe already next seasons Monaco everyone might have to get to grips with new strategies.
