As in the title, the game, as soon as the race screen is loaded, even before it starts, the screen hangs. Once the race is underway  the game can hang for several laps, sometimes 5 or 6 at a time. At first I assumed it was the generic cheapo tablet that I was using but I've also tried it on my phone and its exactly the same. My tablet is running Android 5.1 and was fine before the update. My phone is a moto g6 running Android 8.0.0 I've tried rebooting both devices and fully shutting them down and booting up. Neither are running any other programs other than what usually runs in the background, both devices have plenty of ram to spare. I've tried rebooting my BB. I'm now stumped and can only assume that it's something to do with the upgrade. I'd be grateful if someone could suggest a fix cos it really is annoying being unable to play the
game properly. Maybe there's something simple I haven't done, these cancer drugs can play havoc with the old brain.
Thanks
Paul

Im using either my phone, which is a Moto g6 running Android 8.0.0 and have no other apps running apart from background apps. Or I use a tablet, it's a generic tablet called Pilot, it's running Android 5, again no other apps running and plenty of RAM free. Not sure how I find race I'd, sorry

Hello Paul,

I haven't had any more reports from other users about this. Can you check if it's a problem with your device?

Thank you

Hi, if it is, then it's a problem on 2 devices, a tablet running Android 5.1 and a phone (moto g6) running Android 8.0.0, it hangs on both devices, several times every race. I wouldn't mind but it makes using boost accurately almost impossible, sometimes it'll do nothing at all, other times it'll act as though it's been pressed for a while and use 20% or more.

Hi,

We will review this incident as soon as we have availability. It has already been added to our to-do list.

Thank you, it happened less tonight but still happened and frustratingly on the last 2 laps too, in what was a very tight race and though I didn't see it, I dropped from 10th to 14th, i had boost to use, too but never mind, these things happen

Can you ask someone else to see if they perceive these effects? I haven't seen any other report about this, another possibility is that it's your internet connection.

Have you tried version 3.3 of the app? The update was designed to fix some hanging issues in races.

I'm on the latest version and it does seem better, it's now not hanging for as long, but it still hangs

Any chance you could do a screen recording of this when it happens? I think this is typically achieved by pressing and holding volume up + power.

I'm unsure what is meant by hanging and it may be an internet connection problem. A video would make this clearer.

Hanging as in the race freezes, then kind of goes on a fast forward to catch up. I doubt it's my Internet cos it happens wherever I am, at a friend's house, at home, in a hotel, hospital etc. It's been better recently but tonight it froze with 5 laps to go and only caught up on the last lap. I doubt it made a difference to points cos I was well down in 16/17 places but if it had been a race where I was in the points, it could have been frustrating.
I'll try to video it but I'm not sure my tablet is that sophisticated lol then again, I'm not sure what you'd see other than what looks like a screen capture, certainly, you won't see any movement lol
But thanks for the concern. I appreciate it

I'm sorry, I got a bit involved in the race tonight, even though I was way down lol. I'll try to remember to do it tomorrow. The freezing was much worse again tonight though

Hi Paul, if you've still been experiencing this problem, I recommend uploading the video and sharing a link to the video here.

Hi Warren, that is a slightly different issue than what this thread is about. Please verify you are using version 3.35 of the app and if yes, try reinstalling the app. If the problem still persists, please make a new thread to report it so we don't have two parallel problems going on in this one.
