Problem is most people use that combo. And it hinders the point of the game if everyone knows the performance of everbody else's equipment. You must learn for yourself, I guess, even if it costs you £10 million to change partners and back again just to see if they are better than yours or not.

There's no point right now in learning all that, as when they finally release Q2, those stats are likely to change anyways.

Funny thing is you do not have the best suppliers there. One or more of them are not the top suppliers in the lists.

And for this reason, I think the supplier pages should not publish how many customers they each have. It takes less than five minutes to figure out the "best" suppliers just from that number (though as David says, one of the given suppliers is not the best in its industry). I help run a few private leagues on here and across both of last season's leagues I think probably 2/3rds of the players ran Murk/Seashells/Bridgerock, and a further 15% of them ran two of those three. I purposely ran different suppliers and still did as well as I wanted to do overall (because my main objective was to learn the game). If everyone runs the same gear you might as well call it GP2 Manager.

I also agree suppliers should not tell how much customers they have.

And be more hard to get the best engines/tyrers etc.   Its not like everyone can buy a Ford Engine for a race car without them asking if you are going to be competitive.
High level engines are for the teams with money and chance of winning a championship.  They will not sell a engine to a team fighting for the last place because it can hurt its image.

Also a way for its customers each month (lets say day 15 of each month) to give a feedback of the engine would be nice, that way the game would change its stats a little to better satisfy its customers.  And its not even that hard to think of a system. (Doing the system its up to the creators of the game ^^).

Every engine have X points based on the Finance/XP/Image of the industry.    How lets say  Murk can improve its stats i don´t know but would be nice to see them changing to make sure someone will not stay 100 seasons with the same engine.

Every day 15 of a month the partner will ask what they want in the engine.    The winner selection will get a +1 in its stats.    Another random stat have a big chance of losing 1 point.    A small chance of losing nothing and a small chance of 2 stats losing 1 point.

This way the engines, fuel and tyres would always change improving and getting worse. Making sure for you to check each season what is best for you.   Of course the renew/cancel system would need to be harder to stop people changing partners everyrace.

And of course, we don´t know what is better in a engine. Even if we know we have only 1 of hundreds or even thousands of votes. So making the "perfect engine" is likely impossible.

Thats my  idea. Anyone liked it?

Now the Best Options Are

Engine : Murk (By far the best)
Fuel : Beep (Little better from Seashells)
Tyre : Bridgerock (Better than Goodweek)

I hope that helps....

My opinion is to :
-have more than 10 for EACH supply type (near 15 should be ok)
-make every supplier competitive with each other, best at some aspects but worse at others, this may be power at cost of cooling or fuel eco or even weight ( not so much for price because every supplier should be availiable even to starters)
-add more stats for every supplier, especially for tyres(a tyre that can handle better at wet terrain maybe?)

And a question when the new update will come online?

I don't know when the new update will come online but the suppliers will be fundamentally different from what you are all used to.
This will add more interest to the game, as more skill will be needed to manage your team.

if you do ramp up the changes, make sure to fill in the values of each, all the engines cant even get above 10, so there is scope for alot of improvement there still.

Coming in the update like my fellow crew members said, we'll be seeing an overhaul on the suppliers would really just have them apply attribute bonuses to the car's overall attribute which will differ between each supplier.

There will be more information on it at a later date. For now:

Murk
Beep
Bridgerock

Edit: Wait Junior, why did you necro a post that is 4 months old?

I just have to disagree a little with some of the above. In real life we know which teams (and so how many) use which engine supplier or tyres, so that stat makes sense. I think there should be some visible stats for each, such as reliability (%of races finished for instance) and percentage of wins/points/results. Things like performance, power, efficiency etc should be kept hidden as you wouldn't be able to see them in real motorsport.

I did not knew that some things like this should be kept secret... Oops..

These tips will only help for so long, in the next major update supplier skills will be replaced completely with a new system. :)
