Afternoon all !!

I have searched but not found the info so would be greatful if you have the answer please.

How much extra power does your car gain as it goes up the levels.

ie,  a lvl 20 car will overtake a lvl 18 car even though they both have DRS .

or i should ask whats the % increase of DRS power at each lvl ,

its not a moan in any way just research , as it must get stronger the higher lvl of car you get.

many thanks

In fact it's not a gain of power, it's because the higher level managers have a better chassis (and more effectively in the terms of downforce) THANKS TO higher levelled CD's and TD's

Hi

thanks for your reply,

but that must relate to a % increase per level.

as in a lvl 20 cars drs is say 10% more effective than a lvl 15 car,

to be honest its to solve a long multi season discussion,
as some think a lvl 20 car is no better than a lvl 15 car.
when time and time again as said earlier , if 2 cars have drs the higher level car always is faster

The efficiency is not quantified, but yes, the higher technology level gives an edge to the lvl 20 respect the lvl 15 car, even both cars have the same development

I strongly disagree. Its a game. A program.

It is 1's and 0's.
Hence...
Everything is quantified.

You didn't get it correctly, it's obviously quantified, BUT IT DOESN'T specify how much. (Like 6% improvement of technology in every level)

No need to yell.
-
Assuming the increase is linear, the answer is 5% per level. 1/20.
-
If its parabolical it still averages down to 5% but it will vary (a lot) on where u are on the curve and wether it steepens or flattens out towards 20.
But u can all do that graph n math yourselves.

Hi Stuart.

I race in a very tough league, Iron Horse IGP (League ID=5037) where I race against many Level 19 and Level 20 Managers.

With my Level 18 DRS, I can (on rare occasions) get overtaken by Level 20 DRS's, even when we both have DRS activated. This though only happens on very long DRS tracks circuits, like China.

As for numbers, I've worked it out at roughly +0.050s to +0.080s DRS lap time difference for Level 18 DRS vs Level 20 DRS (Depending on length of the DRS)

As for KERS, Level 18 KERS vs Level 20 KERS is around +2.50s difference (in my opinion) I have to be more careful of when I can use my KERS in races! :D

Hope that helps ;)

I wasn't yelling. I was pointing out a fact.

Oh I see

Kers is a lot stronger then

As for DRS that is about 6% to gain time like that so must be an upwards curve

Ok, I need to understand this ! Kers if you level up ! Does it gives you a longer time of boosting or is the boost just stronger ?

Poppy
So gerard am i getting this correct if a manager level 20 and a manager level 10 both have same set up figures and same figures in hq and same level staff neither of them would have an advantage in a race besides experience of player

Nope ,

as you level up chassis is improved , drs is much stronger and boost is way stronger ,
even with out drs and boost a lvl 20 car would be faster due to chassis improvements ,

Lajos

boost is just stronger not longer !

KERS lasts longer in duration, not in strength.

I remember the Level 1 - Level 5 KERS package..good 1-2 seconds of boost, and then you were out! xD
