It would be great if we could select a number for our car and not being always the 1.

I agree. Maybe if on the day between Abu Dhabi, every team must pick 1/2 numbers (depending on the league cars) which could be based on  a first come first served basis.

I agree, but people should be able to reserve thier current numbers during the season.

I totally agree. In addition, some drivers may get a "favourite"  number to use instead of the one chosen by the team.

Good suggestion. This would also add to the use of Tokens because now you only use them for Auctions and speeding things up!

I was meaning that auctions are the only thing tbat you have to do in order to improve. Yes, you can buy engines but you don't have to, you can still improve without them. Sorry, I didn't make my ideologies clear enough before.

Lol. Pointless add.
I prefer to have the number 1 on the race results instead of everyone trying to reserve the number 69 for their car.... even if u have only 101 players playing igp worldwide reserving numbers will conflict with others reserving that same number as soon as they switch league.
Which could lead to several outcomes people seem so fond off. Mostly "more crashes".
It might force 2 teams crashing, or the whole league, or maybe even the whole game.
Maybe if everyone can pick their number regardless of restrictions, we can have a field full of cars with the number 69, 
except for the previous champ, who will be assigned the number 1.

Great Idea!!
Strange to see a race car without a # on it.,

Not need to make it so complicated....

* 1st come 1st serve.
* Effective only on current league.
* One switches league....one goes through the process over again.
* Default # assignment by game if a # isn't selected prior to season start. 
* Managers retain their # as long as long as they remain on current league.
* Available to all players.

Remember we've survived without it.... this shouldn't make or brake the game.
