Today, I am very angry, because ....

I was on live Race. It was raining on the start! Then the rain was stopping.

And now, the control was a f...!

I changed to Intermed for next pit, because there was 1.2mm water on road. Bur few moments before the pit , the system changed my setting to SuperSoft. I know, why the system does it, but this is a BIG FAT BUG! When i am online, the system should not change my new setting!!!

With both cars I had 1 pit more, because of this!

What were your advanced and main strategy settings and how many laps had it been since rain stopped?

Looking at your race results the other managers didn't suffer from this bug, they started on Inters and ran the entire race on Inters over three or four stints.

One of your drivers qualified on Full wets so started the race down in 21st which didn't help, the other qualified on Inters in 8th but you pitted him after 1 lap and also put him on full wets which was strategic suicide. This is the driver who fitted the SS and eventually finished 8th some 21 seconds behind 7th place. Overall pit stop time in Italy is approx. 18-20 seconds so even without this extra pit stop you would still have finished 8th.

I agree that it would be much better if you could turn off advanced stratetegy when attending but 5mm and 50 laps sort of achieves this. Maybe not so much a bug as wrong settings inadvanced strategy.

If you are attending, try this and see if it works for you... Advanced Strategy Tyre Guide

I never leave the advanced strategy at default settings because in my opinion you're playing with fire. I nearly always attend races and have found the strategy settings in my other post usually work.

I have never had surprise tyres fitted but my race tonight is in China and it's looking highly likely to be a wet race. So the game will most likely pick tonight to give me some random tyres and if this happens my next post will be.... "Friggin tyre bug! Turn off the rain! Devs fix this NOW!" Haha.

Yep i know what you are saying!! I have had the tyre problem before and i know how the guys do feel as its sort of wastes a race!! Mind you it did win me one race also!! So its a bit of both ways. We have what looks like a wet race also for our next race so i will try your tips and go from there.
Thanks for the answer also mate and i get where you are coming from totally!!

If you don't touch the advanced settings they are still active, just with really bad settings especially in the case of rain stopping. So best is to make it an habit to set them up following Kevins suggestions.

Edit: Started this post before your last arrived. I'll still leave mine, mostly for others reading this thread, though.
