Hi All,

As people from a 10:30GMT race yesterday would testify, there was an update that was pushed and then reverted. This stopped races starting at the right time. I reverted these changes and the races started as expected one the services were restarted with the old code.

I am again relaunching the update for 2.30pm GMT races today, I believe these are going to run as expected and I will be watching.

Normally I would not be detailing a simulator update or even announcing it. However, there is a few changes that were made today that may affect people in some way.

Changes of notability :-
AI now decides what compound to put on, up to a minute before lights out now.
A fix has been implemented when the tyre compound selected are the same as the currently used compound, it will no longer pit when the tyres are still healthy and you have enough fuel.

You can also make changes to your push level or to your next stint during the pre-race phase now. Where as before it was updating visually but was not applying changes until race start. Which meant if you crashed or left before you started then them changes were not processed.

There has been a further patch to the above update where, if you were to setup with wet tyres as your main stint and it was raining but not at the advanced strategy water depth. It would put on the race stop tyre, pre race.

This has now been fixed and deployed through the servers.

I'm really gonna need like a step by step run through of which tyres get selected depending on which weather at what time and how much because I'm confused... :(

Its mostly meant as a solution to issues where cars start the race with the wrong tyres, due to conflicting advanced strategies, or/and cars starting with the correct tyres, only to pit in the first lap to put on the exactly same tyre due to more conflicting advanced strategies.

All of these problems seem to occur in (and due to) changing weather conditions between end of setup and start of race.
