Definitely, always train Physical first until Stamina is 20 and the driver achieves minimum weight (51Kg Male, 46Kg Female).

After that it's down to personal preference. I always focus on Driving ability after Physical before finally moving on to mental but I can't categorically say this is the best approach.

I always go driving ability first but if the talent level is less than 8 then don’t even waste you time (in my personal opinion) ??

Steve.

Training of Driving ability first is not an ideal strategy if your aim is to retain the driver for a long time. Stamina and weight make very little difference to driver level so training Physical first is a much faster way to get the driver maxed out in everything.

Like I said “in my opinion” it works for me and I’m not keeping drivers unless the talent level is in double figures ?

I would train his or her physical abilities first, then the driving abilities, then the mental abilities.
Oh and also, talent cannot be trained, so I would find drivers that are double figures in talent either in the marketplace or in Youth Academy.

Hi there, i couldn't find the exact thread where to post this and i don't want to start a new one just for a simple question, which is not that much off-topic anyway, so i'll ask it here: (being very much new to the game) could someone advice me which driver to use as my n° 2  in the new season between:
this one: https://igpmanager.com/app/d=driver&id=5620991
and this one: https://igpmanager.com/app/d=driver&id=5642343

I guess what i'm asking is: how much does talent really affect performances in this game?
I know they both pretty much suck for most of you but bear in mind i'm just a level 5 rookie :)

Hi Strada
I edited your post to make the links active. In future if you want to make them clickable hyperlinks you do so as follows:

The 2nd one should be faster, but he's 3x more expensive :)

Like Gert says, talent is the key. However, in the early stages of your iGP career the cost of the staff might be an important factor because neither driver is going to serve you for a long time. Just as soon as you reach a level where you get the opportunity to scout a high talent driver this is what you should do.
I see you have managed to promote to Pro at a very low level and there are very few managers in your league/tier which means you're going to be there for quite a while. At the risk of going off topic, unless you have friends in your current league, I would recommend you look to move to one which will accelerate your career. If you can find an active league at an appropriate time where experienced managers will offer advice and support (and perhaps donate the odd high talent driver LOL) this is even better.
Apologies to all for going off topic, just trying to help a newcomer.

First off, Thanks to both of you!!
i see your point Kevin, the promotion\relegation option is active in the league i'm in right now, so four of us rookie managers have now been promoted to pro and it's just us (i have to say at first i thought perhaps it's for the better since some of the rookies were inactive anyway). Do you think it's unwise to stay in such league? i mean i thought i might try a different one once the first rookie season finished yesterday but then i thought i could try to win a pro championship and maybe level up a bit before moving to more challenging ones...i also wanted to ask something else but i saw there's a topic about it so i will post it there...thanks again people!
