red star driver won't race

I have one level 7 driver and a level 6.
I am a level 6 manager and i focust on training.
Now my level 7 driver maxed out and training dropped.
So i sold my price winning first driver and replaced him with the level 7 driver, he did not train anymore so why not race.

Well he did not race. In my two car league my best driver did not start.....
Why can i select i driver that does not race?
And why can i train a driver to the point he can not race for me?

Go to main menu then drivers and staff section then reselect your 2 drivers. This should help.
