When one is managing the team ie racing would it not be an idea for the advanced strat to be over ruled as u r there racing. As the option if stops raining when to put on (M) tyres that is so depending on things. Like the temp. Hotter quicker will dry. Can’t therefore say number of laps
People have been asking for a "disable advanced strategy" button for a long time, it really would be a useful addition so hopefully it's high on the developers improvement list.
In the meantime as a sort of workaround, if you know you're going to attend set the number of laps if it stops raining to 50 and in a 50% race the cars will never pit. You get to decide when to pit, how much fuel to load and selection of the best tyre compound to suit the conditions.
