Can you please tell me what I've done wrong here? My driver had fired himself, but luckily I got him back before anyone managed to find him.

I was in a two car league which was dying, so I decided to join a one car league that runs at the same time. Before leaving the two car league I fired the worse driver of my two drivers, leaving me with only the one driver.

When I joined the new league, I apparently had no drivers? I then received a "cancellation of contract" email a couple of minutes after joining this new league for the one driver I had left. Wondering what was up I clicked on my driver, tried to make an offer to rehire him and it said I already had a current bid with "Current bid: -" being the value... Two minutes later it then said "You cannot approach Thomas De Jong until 1 race has passed"

I know I didn't fire him or cancel his contract, my relationship is still 10/10. If I fired him it would be showing 8/10 or something. His contract did also definitely not run out, he had 20 something races to go, so what have I done wrong here?

Any ideas what happened, or have I done something wrong or is this some weird bug? I want to know for the next time I switch leagues so I can avoid the problem coming up again.

I really don't know but I will make this suggestion-

Was you driver a much higher level than the drivers he would be racing against?
That might have something to do with it but I will leave the answer to people who know what they are talking about!

Did you actually leave your league and then joined the new one?
Or did you join the new one.

As far as I know this is a big difference even if it doesn't seem to be.
If you leave your league then your drivers get fired maybe some other staff will get fired too.

No I did not leave the league, I just opened the new leagues tab and clicked join and it gave me the warnings about leaving my old league and the penalties I would suffer (10% money etc) but it did not say anything about losing contracts to my driver.

Also no, afaik the driver isn't that high Jake. I'm only in pro and the driver is level 10. I also gather he wasn't too high for the league because as I said, once 1 race passed I was able to rehire him. Still unsure as to why his contract cancelled itself though. I've managed to get him back any way but it would be nice to know what has happened just uncase it is a glitch that needs to be sorted out.

I just left a 2 car league, before leaving I sacked one driver.
I joined a 1 car league and had no driver when I got there :-(

I would say something is not right.
Has this happened to anyone else out there who maybe thought it was something they did by mistake?

Well like I said Jake. It sends you the "cancellation of contract" email, but at the same time you keep the 10/10 relationship with your driver, so you can't have cancelled his contract otherwise this would drop to 8/10. It's most certainly a bug, I've pm'd Jack about it and he said he'll look into it.

Thanks for the detailed report Atom, it's so much easier to address a problem when I can repeat the steps. :)

This is fixed now.
