Game link: www.gpro.net

If anyone is interested in another decent F1 manager game that's seemingly the largest on the net, GPRO is about to have a group expansion. It's been around for about 8 years and has grown into a huge game with an enormous and vibrant community to boot.

I've been playing GPRO on and off for about 4 years and have enjoyed every one of my 283 races so far. It provides a realistic and educated simulation of how the managers set up for races in motor sports, and I believe it does an amazing job.

If you play GPRO, which group are you in? what are your plans for the following season?

If you don't, and need a hand, I'm sure there will be some assistance here if need be :)

Good luck in the race tonight!

i tried it and just never got into it after a few season, to me it was too much trouble then it was worth. in fairness i gave it another try months later and still remained as confused as i did the first time. no, that part of my management skills on a virtual team is done, im more looking forward to pitwall 2.0.

I had the same first impresion, then asked around and got some sound advice - and it was to not spend money until absolutely necessary.
The best advice I had was this: "Your driver wins races in rookie, not the manager"

Got to Elite with such knowledge!

I found out about iGP from managers on GPRO too, couldn't give it up if i tried!
Both are as addictive as easy other, and offer diversity from different approaches to managing a team.

Didn't know pitwall were making a new game. I used to talk to the admin on MSN a few years ago, good bloke.

It appears GPRO has no live race view, just a strange text-based update, unless I'm mistaken. Is there some other real-time overhead view of the races?

There isn't. I think that's the disadvantage in comparison to iGP who've done a great job managing the live races!!

The set up procedure though, is something else and seems very realistic to the real thing IMO

How do you guys do?
What groups are you in? Maybe we can talk about some stuff there here and at some point we could even revolutionise GPRO with our way of managing. (devil)

I'm having a blast in amateur, making a load of money...it's so much fun here :D

BTW, iGP manager thead in GPRO is here: http://gpro.net/gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=17992&Page=1

Also in GPRO, Rookie-391 (as Michal Chyzy)
GPRO is much more difficult than iGP. And worse, yeah.

It is the best racing game, no doubt.

I gave up with it after a very short time.
Not nearly as good as iGP.

And what really annoys me - you cannot unsubscribe to emails!! - They are now dealt with by my spam filter.

Not nearly as good as IGP??

Or probably you not good enough to play that game.

On IGP you only have to do is increase or decrease the setup, nothing else.

GPRO, you need to know how to set the setup and what kind setup use according the temperature and if dry or wet, in that case you must know what kind of conversion will use, satisfaction zone for each car part in order to get the best performance, tyres durability (not only soft or hard), training staff (not like here) and many, many others things.

And you tell me IGP is better. Must be a joke!!!
