Since multiple updates I feel the super soft and most notably the soft tyres seem to dominate.
The need to improve the competition with regards to strategy in some leagues all seems to come down to everyone using whatever worked last season, due to the dominant tyre choice. With weather having little effect over actual tyre performance, previously being a lover of the hard choice, I am disappointed to see hard compounds under performing against the softer alternatives even in the blistering heat.
Bring hards back!

What is needed is to make all of the compounds more sensitive to ambient temperatures and track abrasiveness. This would make the softer compounds uncompetitive in hot conditions / abrasive tracks and make the harder compounds uncompetitive in low temperatures / smooth tracks.
Abrasiveness is fixed but sensitivity to temperature would mean that different strategies would be effective throughout the year and simply copying previous season wouldn't necessarily work. Maybe tracks like Singapore and Malaysia would see little change because there are no seasonal temperature variations... still a rainy season though :-)
No idea how difficult this would be to code. It must be hard because IMO it sounds like an easy way to mix the game up without periodically recalibrating the tyres and despite a few people suggesting there has been no feedback from the devs.
