Safety Cars

I am sure the concept of safety cars and how/if they could be implemented has been thrown around plenty, but I think it’s more than time to institute this for the interest of those showing up to races and managing live during them.

I love the idea of in-race management but it gets incredibly stale once the cars spread out. Pit stop strategies take very little thought, so I’m just kinda watching instead of managing. What would throw all of this on its head would be safety cars. They don’t have to be for any real reason, just having a small percent chance of one coming out, so that every couple races we see one, would be FANTASTIC!

This would mean real-time decisions would be required. I get most do their manager tasks when they have time and then check back for race results, but wouldn’t having an extra reason to draw managers into the races live be a good thing?

The idea of SC is good and serious a dream to have SC in the IGP, but there are those managers who will cry for losing that advantage for more, and do not think the IGP will deploy it so early.

I agree with you. I just want to ask/suggest if it could be added as an option when you create a new championship. So those who don't want safety car and car accidents could disable the option from their league and those who want to be able to activate it.

Having SC as an option for a league would absolutely meet the needs for both kind of managers.
