Why does sponsorship payment drop after a 5 race contract? Seems like it would be most beneficial to just keep doing 5 race contracts, or am I missing something?

Actually, it's even MORE beneficial to let the contracts expire and then resign them to the original deals.

They seriously need to fix the way getting sponsors works. Why would renewing make the sponsor pay less? If a team just won the championship, why would the sponsor expect to start paying less? I would think you would need to pay a LOT to get on a Red Bull, McLaren or Ferrari in RL.

Also, if a sponsor is rated as having good finances, your relationship is 10/10, why would not renewing at the end of the season, then trying for a brand new contract where your not asking for any more than before result in the sponsor saying no? I seem to be on a every other season basis with most sponsors.

That was the other thing I didn't understand because it said renewing leads to a decrease of 5%.

Maybe this is why our economy is in the tank lol

For the record (kind of off-topic) I think the sponsors have a "hard limit" where if you ask for more than a set amount they will say no every time.

I play in a couple of private leagues and a lot of us have shared certain data/findings, things we've figured out from playing the game. Our most experienced manager stated a while back that there were certain sponsors that he couldn't get to agree to an amount over a set figure, even with 10/10 Relationship. I've tested this a bit recently (both my seasons just ended and I needed to re-sign all the contracts), and I got quite a few refusals even with 10/10 Relationship by asking for really high amounts (like $1.39 to $1.5 million). Generally speaking, I've found the sponsors with higher rated Finances stats will accept more costly contracts, and as the Finances stat goes down, so does the amount they're willing to give. I haven't a lot of hard numbers to give, but that's what I've found.
