I watched as qualifying completed and hit "go to race " as soon as it was enabled and I still missed the race on my B team - browser got to 66%
my other browser running the A team, took till lap 18,
my connection was ok, I downloaded other stuff in another browsers, "you tube" , and even rebooted the modem,
is/was there a server load issue ?

Hi Gregor, can you clarify what you meant by "took till lap 18"?
Cole Trickle medal 5000 5 years 69 days ago
You didn't say it clearly: are you trying to manage to teams at the same time, one in browser A and the other in browser B?
Try this: wait till race in A is fully loaded. Then hit go to race in B.

Yunus, it took till lap 18 to load,it came on line at lap 18, and I pressed go to race as soon as it appeared . i tried just one browser but the load just stalled,
Cole, yes im managing 2 teams at once, normally run firefox and edge browsers on 2 monitors and had this issue once before but thought it was sorted,
even when i closed one browser it wouldn't load, sorry, it Would load , but at 1 % at a time very slowly,
I opened another browser and opened you tube and it loaded straightaway so i think it was the iGP server not feeding me the data
Update,
its done it again, i closed one browser and still missed the start of the race , i managed to watch Team A from my phone, but it took my browser half the race to load, and it would drop the connection and have to renegotiate while loading resources,
is there a firewall setting i can use ?or can i port forward ? to try and stop these extra long load times? need some help.
thanks
gregor and chaz are the same manager

Ok New race . Germany race has been going 26 minutes and my browser is stil;l downloading race at 38% , totally missed the race 3rd or 4th time this has happened, all is good up until I press "Go To Race" then craps itself

Hello Gregor/Chaz. Do you first enter a race with only one of the browsers and wait until it finished loading and you're in the race before clicking 'Go To Race' with the second one?

Frank, I have tried both, yes this time i tried one browser, no it didn't work, reboot modem, reboot PC, reboot coffee,
it has worked previously with 2 browsers loading in mere seconds, but yes , i tried just one browser today and it only got to 50% and race had finished :( which may have been jjinxed as i got my best result this season
and im not blaming the server as it may be my crappy internet provider ,
Frank Thomas medal 5000 Moderator 5 years 66 days ago
Today there were some issues with the server, but your league started after those were resolved. Also spectated the Elite race in your league as I hoped Pettson would be online and loaded it without issues. Weird, so the issues are already there with loading only one race? Also are you doing something else in the background, as I lately noticed during a race that opening different tabs in the game it caused my race to heavily stutter, but thought it's my internet connection as that's quite troublesome currently.

Chaz can you give us specs of pc and also what internet speeds you are running? Maybe your internet provider is throttling speeds? Do a internet download speed check.

M S
Hi
9 am Australian time we are +10 hrs
I7 4790k
16 gig ram
750 gig of ssd’s
Ethernet cable to modem
ADSL2 8 mbs 8000 Kbs down 1 mbs up ,
Yeah kinda old school as we live in the Bush
I was at home alone so no kids streaming Netflix ,
It only stalls when I press “ go to race” then it sat there loading and the whole race passed ,
Normally it will load 2 browsers each with its own team in seconds
M S medal 5890 5 years 66 days ago
Your pc is good spec but your internet not the fastest around but still I don't think it's either of those unless like I said your internet provider is throttling speed. On your pc go to Google and search broadband speed check and see exactly what download speed you are receiving against what your provider is advertising.
Chaz Crozz medal 5000 5 years 65 days ago
So between 5 mg and 7.2 mbs, its not the speed of light but it will stream youtube & netflix & 2 pc's of fortnite for the kids at the same time,
we are close to the exchange at around 2k's and theres only 300 people in the next village down the road,
lets see how today goes,
thanks

I lost 8 laps today, once it was loaded I opened another browser and it was lap 15 before it loaded, even though my internet speed is slow , its still fast enough to load the pages in a very short time if all is well and im getting a decent data stream
lucky I'm not driving :)

Hi Chaz, please use try using the app on your phone to load the race while using mobile data and if you have wi-fi, please try loading it on your phone using wi-fi too.
On your computer, please try spectating a race and let us know how long it takes for that to load as well. Thanks!

There's the reason! Your cookie blocker is the cause of your pain.
You may want to create an exception in Firefox for iGP Manager's cookies. If you need help on how to do this let me know.
Chaz Crozz medal 5000 5 years 65 days ago
Yeah I made an exception for this website only,.
but it still has to load tomorrow right ? :)

Well, an empty cache is generally the main culprit for long loading times. So you should make sure that is also allowed. If you're clearing everything when you close your browser, or blocking everything, this will include the cache.
After ensuring your cache won't get cleared or the browser is being allowed to cache websites — there are 17 unique tracks, so maybe you'll have 17 long loading times. To prevent that, try loading all of these tracks through the spectator list and it may go smoother for you before each of those circuits come around on your league calendar.

Yunus , I made a huge error and deleted my Bteam Rosso Crozz, Ive emailed support but im afraid they wont get it before next race , can you help ?
chaz
Chaz Crozz medal 5000 5 years 62 days ago
Yunus ! my last 2 races have loaded in a timely fashion, I did as suggested and cached the tracks by spectating and allowing cookies for igp.com.
all is well in the igp world of Chaz , thankyou
