Hi, looking on the trade screen I rarely see any drivers above level 2 talent, sometimes a LVL 3 talent will be there but not many at all. Is this capped for me as I've only just started. Wanting to get a semi decent young driver with a good talent stat that I can keep in the team and train.

How much does talent effect at my level? Should I be looking for another stat at the moment?

I'm pretty much only looking for talent as the rest barring  exp I know you can train, any advice greatly appreciated

Cheers

Hi Steve, welcome to the game ;)

1-3 Talent drivers are a good starting point for new managers in Rookie division. Every 1 Talent does works out at -0.050/s per lap though (all other stats equal) but in Rookie leagues, it's not so important :)

Come Pro league, your level should be around Level 6 - Level 8. 6-12 Talent drivers then start appearing more frequently. Just bear in mind that the Transfer cost can be high, as well as the drivers race salary.

If possible, level up your 'Youth Academy' Starting from Level 10 Youth Academy, you can start to scout 20 Talent drivers :-) Bonus of drivers scouted from the Youth Academy, is their driver starting salaries are low (Usually 312k/race) That's when you can race with the good managers in Elite :)

Hope that helps ;)

Thanks for the reply Peter, loads of great info there!

Hopefully get a good youth reserve and start training them whilst I'm in the rookies. Been told to hit stamina to start then move onto other areas.

Should I be looking to max a 3 talent driver to 20stamina or would that be a waste? I'm imagining it would max their stars out for my level pretty quickly though and lead to only 3 points training each time.

Maybe train to level 10 stamina and then work on other areas to get a decent rookie level driver?
